Rockets vs. Warriors Match Preview & Betting Odds 2018/19
Published November 15, 2018
Houston began the season with some serious struggles losing five of their first six. James Harden‘s early injury didn’t help and adding Carmelo Anthony to the mix was a bust. But Harden is back, and Anthony is not.
The Rockets will enter Thursday night’s game having won five of their last seven. While the two losses were absolute clunkers (80 and 89 points), the defense has gotten a lot better. Of those seven games, they held their opponents to under 100 points in five of them.

Golden State got off to another strong start to the season going 10-1 in their first 11 games. But then they lost Steph Curry to an injury against Milwaukee (a game they ultimately lost). Since Curry has been out, there has been some internal strife and the team has not played well.
They lost to the Clippers in OT and struggled to come away with a win against a poor Atlanta team.

Spread: Rockets by 1.5
Houston has struggled at home so far this season (1-4). But all four losses came early on when they were struggling. They appear to be on the right track now and in a place where they can take advantage of a Curry-less Warriors. They will not win by much, but they will win cover the spread.
Over/Under: 220
There is way too much offensive potential on both teams to even consider going with the under on this one.
Money line: Rockets -120.48; Warriors +100
It will be a good, close game. But in the end, the Rockets are going to come out on top.
