Michigan State Spartans vs Texas Tech Red Raiders Betting Odds & Prediction

Michigan State odds

The Michigan State Spartans meet the Texas Tech Red Raiders for a place in the NCAA 2019 Championship Final tournament at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on Saturday evening.

The Spartans are the one remaining team in the NCAA 2019 tournament to have previously won a national championship (their previous titles being in 1979 and 2000).

Having eliminated the top-seeded Duke Blue Devils 68-67 in the East Region final at the Elite Eight stage of this year’s tournament, the Spartans should have plenty of faith in their own ability to claim a third title this season.

It’s been a great team effort this season given the injuries they’ve had to overcome, with Point Guard Cassius Winston being a particularly instrumental player in their win against Duke.

The Texas Tech Red Raiders will be making an appearance in the Final Four for the first time in their 94-year history. Their goal now is to attempt to emulate the success of UConn from 20 years ago  in becoming the first team since then to win a national title in its initial Final Four appearance.

The Raiders reached the Final Four by beating the Gonzaga Bulldogs 75-69 in the Elite Eight, with the Raiders’ defense once again a significant factor in the victory.  Texas Tech held the Bulldogs to just 42% shooting, which was some 10 points below their average.
