Chiefs vs. Rams Match Preview & Betting Odds 2018/19Published November 13, 2018
The fans have been waiting for and the kind that the NFL loves to be in prime time. The game will feature some of the best young offensive players in the league. Both have top-ranked quarterbacks and running backs as well as four of the top ten receivers in the league.
Combine the talent with one of the best and brightest young coaches in the league (Rams Sean McVay) and a savvy, veteran head coach (Chiefs Andy Reid), and you have the makings of one very exciting game.
Defensively, the edge has to go to the Rams since they don’t give up nearly as many yards as Kansas City does per game (Rams are 23rd in yards allowed; Chiefs are 31st). The Chiefs only give up 24 points/game to the Rams 23.1. But they haven’t faced an offence quite like the Rams.
The Rams defence is a little more battle-tested having faced teams like the Packers, Saints, and Vikings.
Spread: Rams by 2.5
It would not be shocking for the winner to be whoever has the ball last. If that ends up being the case, it is more likely that they will need to get in the end zone rather than kick a field goal. The Chiefs will keep this one close, take the Rams to win against the spread.
With such an incredibly high over/under, you would think the under would be a no-brainer. But take the over in this one.
Money line: Chiefs +115; Rams -135.14
Either team could easily come out ahead in this one. But the Rams will come out on top in the end.
