Rams vs. Patriots Betting Odds and Match Preview 2018/19

Rams vs. Patriots Betting Odds

The knock on the Patriots has been the belief some hold that they do not deserve to be where they are; that they haven’t been good enough this season. But while their record may not be as good as it usually is, statistically speaking, they are as good as ever.

The offence was fourth in points during the regular season, eighth in passing and fifth in the run game. O the defensive side of the ball they were seventh in scoring, 22nd against the pass (which was a step up from 2017), and 11th against the run.

Statistically speaking, the Rams outperformed the Patriots in all three categories. Defensively, the Rams were better against the pass (14th) but struggled to contain the run during the regular season (23rd). But they did a good job against the Cowboys (50 yards) and Saints (48 yards).

Talent-wise, the two teams look extremely competitive. But playing on the biggest stage in the game is nothing new to the Patriots and could make a difference.

Recommended Odds

Spread: Patriots by 2.5

It is likely going to be a close game, but history favors the winner when it comes to the spread. Throughout Super Bowl history, the winning team is 44-6-2 ATS. The Patriots will cover.

Over/Under: 56.5

If the high-powered nature of both offences isn’t enough to convince you to take the over, the last seven times the spread was three points or less, the over was covered in six.

Money line: Rams +1000; Patriots +800

It looks like it should be a very close, competitive game. In games like that on the game’s biggest stage, it is hard to go against Tom Brady. Take the Patriots to win.
