Daniel Cormier vs Stipe Miocic Prediction & Betting Odds - UFC 241 Picks

This is actually a rematch for UFC heavyweight champion Cormier against former champion Miocic after the July 2018 fight in which Cormier claimed the title by knocking out Miocic in the first round.

With that victory, Cormier became just the second fighter ever to hold two separate UFC division titles simultaneously (adding to his light heavyweight title). In doing so, he joined Conor McGregor in what was a very elite club.

Recent Form

Miocic only fight since that loss to Cormier was a grappling bout, in which he suffered defeat by decision to Aaron Howard back in April.

Cormier, 40, comes into this fight having defeated Derrick Lewis with a second-round submission at UFC 230 in November 2018. 

There is little reason to believe that this bout will vary too much from the first title fight between these two, which largely took place on the feet. Miocic, 36, has a big reach and height advantage, but Cormier is the better boxer, who will again look to find some openings to get inside Miocic. If it does become a grappling encounter, then Cormier very much looks the better fighter.

Were Miocic to regain the title, it may well prove to be Cormier’s final appearance in the Octagon. Should “DC” win, then there is the possibility of a third and final fight with Jon Jones.
