The one title fight on the card will feature the inaugural Women’s Featherweight title fight between American Holly Holm and Germaine de Randamie from the Netherlands. This should be a great fight between two women that can beat you a variety of different ways. de Randamie is more of a conventional Muay Thai Kickboxer, but a dangerous one, while Holm can use Kickboxing along with Karate, JuJitsu and a wrestling style.

Holm comes into UFC 208 with a 10-2 record after two disappointing losses her last two fights. She lost in consecutive fights to Miesha Tate and Valentina Shevchenko. You may remember the last victory for Holm was her impressive knockout of then champion Ronda Rousey to capture the UFC Bantamweight belt.
Germaine de Randamie is 6-3 in her brief UFC career and is riding a two fight winning streak over some lesser known fighters and will now face her toughest test in Holm.
The sportsbooks are predicting a close fight between these two women as Bet365 have them as a near dead heat. de Randamie is actually slight favorite paying 1.80 odds while Holm is the slight underdog paying an even 2-1 odds.

The main card on the men’s side sees the return of one of the greatest fighters of all time as Anderson Silva will take on American Derek Brunson. The Brazilian born Silva (33-8) is a shadow of his former self and at age 41 has lost four straight fights and last tasted victory on October 13th, 2012. With his injuries and positive PED test results behind him, Silva will now look to regain that winning feeling when he takes on a much younger Derek Brunson who is 8 years younger.

Brunson (16-4) is also coming off a loss on November 27, 2016 which snapped an impressive five match winning streak when he lost by technical knockout to Robert Whittaker. Brunson is a natural wrestler and shone in the Collegiate ranks however now the 6’ 1”, 185 lbs tank opts to use a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fighting style.
Regardless of the recent losses for both fighters this should make for a good battle between two fighters with opposite agendas. The legacy for Anderson Silva is already set and the 41 year old Brazilian will go down as one of the best pound for pound fighters in the mixed martial arts community. Derek Brunson is still looking for position himself for a title fight because at age 33 it’s time to start putting together some impressive victories.
